Pre-K

Preschool/ pre-Kindergarten:  The 4’s

Our pre-K program is known as the “4’s program”.  In the 4’s program we continue learning the zoo animal, lower case letter, letter sound, introduction into capital letters, and per reading skills. 4’s program learns by hands on experience, center time, circle time, a variety of games, music and movement, and arts and crafts.

Children thrive in a safe, nurturing environment where they can actively explore, manipulate and interact (or more simply known as “play”).

We are here to encourage the emotional, intellectual, physical and social development of each individual preschool child through a careful balance of  play and structure built into our program.

Our preschool partners with Early Childhood Cares which is a program sponsored by the University of Oregon.  They provide early intervention services for children birth to 5. Our service providerwill spend several hours a week in our class.  EC Cares provides behavior, speech, physical therapy services they not only work with the children who receive services from Early Childhood Cares but occasionally play games and do different activities with the whole class.  EC Cares also provides a teacher’s aide in our classroom.  This teacher will be there on all EC Cares service days.
