The After School Club is a unique certified child care center in Eugene that provides fun, nurturing, and enriching environments for students aged three through fifth grade.

Our programs include an early learning program, the ASC Preschool, for 3-5 years old with a variety of schedule options including extended care till 6:00pm. This well established program is a play based learning environment with a dynamic curriculum offered to include social and emotional development, literacy through Zoophonics, math and science exploration, and much more. We believe children learn best through hands on experiences, at their own pace, and from one another, when supported as whole people in loving and safe spaces. The ASC preschool contracts with ECCares from the University of Oregon.

We also provide after school care for students in Kinder to 5^th grade that attend Irving Elementary from the time the bell rings till 6:00pm. Students enjoy learning through play and exploration as well as socializing and team building within the mixed age group. Students are invited to participate in monthly themed curriculum including Art and Stem activities as well as follow their individual extracurricular interests with teachers support.

All programs are ratio based and spots are based on enrollment and availability. All programs also accept ERDC. We do not provide transportation to or from any of our programs.

The teachers at The After School Club are a mix of experienced educators who have been with the company for many years and young adults beginning their exciting work with children and families. All teachers who work with students complete federal background checks, have current safety requirements, and complete yearly training. The families we serve are very important to us and we value the role we play in the Irving community. We look forward to adding your student to that community at The After School Club.

The ASC Preschool families- On Thursday August 28th from 4:00-7:00pm the classroom will be open and teachers will be welcoming new and old friends. This years incoming students can pick out their cubby and play with friends for a bit while grown ups get enrollment forms completed and questions answered. 2025/26 enrollments forms are posted on the website and must be completed for each student before their first day of care. If your preschoolers schedule includes Tuesdays, their first day with be Tuesday Sept. 2nd. If they do not regularly come to school on Tuesdays, their first day will be Wednesday Sept. 3rd. Feel free to bring students items from the supply list on the last page of the enrollment form on 8/28 or the first day of school. Irving Elementary will be hosting their back to school even on August 28th, as well. Preschool families are invited to join the festivities if they choose. Their event will be from 4:30-6:30 so if you would prefer to skip the crowd, feel free to come a little bit before or after as our room will be open from 4:00-7:00pm. Hello ASC Families! We hope you've all had a wonderful summer! Just a few announcements to share with all of you:

• The 2025-2026 Enrollment Forms have been uploaded to the site and can be found under the Forms tab above. Please complete the enrollment packet and get it to us as soon as possible for the program this fall. Children returning from last year must still have a 2025-2026 enrollment packet.
• The ASC team will be there for the Back to School BBQ on August 28th. Please stop in and say hello! Feel free to turn in your enrollment packets then, as well.
• As previously announced, The ASC will be hosting art classes with Poppy & Paintbrush Creative Studio this fall. Classes will be held Wednesdays from 1:30 to 3:00PM. Enrolled ASC students can attend at a discounted rate. For more information, please reach out to poppyandpaintbrush@gmail.com.
