No School, Half Days, and Holiday Breaks

IMPORTANT NOTE  REGARDING  NO SCHOOL, WINTER AND SPRING BREAKS

Some No School days we may ONLY be open at Irving OR Awbrey Park School.   You will be notified in advance as to what site will be open during No School Days. 

The ASC will be closed and no care will be available: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Break, Memorial Day.

Attendance on No-School and Half Days MUST be prearranged.  A sign up sheet will be provided and be used as our attendance sheet for that day.  Staff will be scheduled accordingly. 

The ASC being open during Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break is not guaranteed.   Families would do well to secure alternate arrangements for these breaks as we cannot guarantee we will be open.  These school “breaks” are decided the month before they are scheduled.  These breaks are subject to enrollment needs.

We will be open for most ‘no school’ days as set forth in the School District calendar.  It is possible that we will not follow our regular daily schedule.  For instance, the times for serving snack and lunch may be different.

On these days, the Preschool classroom teachers might change since the classrooms may be combined that day due to attendance. Additionally, ASC Awbrey Park teachers and students may be asked to go to Irving Elementary School and join the Irving ASC students for some of the No School days.

School District and Holiday NO SCHOOL DAYS may require an extra sign up process.
